Let's Address This with Qasim Rashid
Qasim Rashid is a human rights lawyer who educates his readers and listeners on important, current human rights issues with his informative and passionate content.
One of my freelance bosses shares the wealth
Instead of pocketing it, she quite literally shares the profits with the team members who collaborate on the project. I've never had a boss who thought outside of their own profit margins like that. She's the kind of leader we need more of, someone who pulls others up behind her instead of stepping on them to get more (cough Bezos, Musk, cough Zuckerberg, Trump, cough cough.)
Imani Blair and Smarter in Seconds
Using her platform to teach people how to be better humans in a that is positive, inclusive, and uplifting, while avoiding defensiveness and inviting curiosity. Smarter in Seconds
A comedian who slaps you with some hard truths, but still manages to make you laugh your ass off, so their honestly hurts a little less.
My favorites comedian doing this right now is Josh Johnson. Not only is he fricken hilarious, he's also incredibly thoughtful, empathetic, and, from what I've heard, a genuinely good human.

There’s a reason the people who create and uphold oppressive systems like to ban and burn books, to encourage illiteracy.
A well-read person is a dangerous person. Books and reading help us ask the questions we didn’t know to ask; to further develop our empathy and compassion; to learn about people, cultures, and worlds outside of our own small bubbles; to expand our imaginations so that we can dream up better futures. The world needs more dangerous readers.
Books I’m loving right now…
Let This Radicalize You by Kelly Hayes, Mariame Kaba
A History of Women in 101 Object by Annabelle Hirsch
Unlikeable Female Characters by Anna Bogutskaya
The Serviceberry by Robin Wall Kimmerer
And I’m super excited to read Blair Imani’s Read This to Get Smarter in April
